  Staying in the single market and customs union would benefit us and the EU member states and would avoid us having to pay barrow loads of dosh to Brussels. Having said that I doubt our side would understand the benefits. If they think that every importer of finished goods would know the final destination of all the items in one consignment it shows that they have little understanding of how business works in practice.
