How do we feel about the Sunday Telegraph then? The BBC reports it as, er, reporting 'that ministers have drawn up plans to redirect British food exports to Belgium and the Netherlands, should no agreement be reached.

Under the proposals, lorries bound for Dover would be redirected to ports in the east of England, such as Felixstowe, rather than waiting in emergency lorry parks on the motorway network in Kent.'

Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but I found it interesting since Belgian and Dutch ports are more likely to have an established BIP (Border Inspection Post for POAO coming from non-EU countries). Dunkerque may have one, Calais and Coquelles certainly do not. In other words, it's the sort of contingency plan I'd be tempted to make if I were a food exporter.
