    That shouldn't be true Mr D, because whilst possession of a T form (now known as a TAD) may be checked by both customs services at a border, its barcode is only scanned by customs of the territory you are entering (the EU counting as a single territory, of course). Tomorrow I'll dig out a CT 'track my consignment' record (it's computerised nowadays and available on the net) and have a look at the timings.

    Mr H: sorry (that has been said of me ever since "big school")! My point is lurking in your last sentence: 'if' and 'consequences'. In other words: a) will we and b) what will they be? It would be jolly nice not to have to wait until 29th March with 600 trucks breathing down one's neck to find out!

    And not to have to go to Alpha Centuri!
