  No-one is trying to 'punish' anyone. We are not in a school playground.
  
  Everyone realises (apart from idiots like Trump) that free-trade works to everyone's benefit.
  
  This is not a zero-sum game so a 'good' deal for one side does not mean the other side has a 'bad' deal.
