Makes an interesting read bearing in mind the EU ruling today on Germany and their block on benefits paid to migrants.

I'm surprised there's been no comments on this so far.
This is a very important point on benefits and immigration and I'm surprised that Germany brought the case to Court, not the U.K.
The trouble is not just legal immigration, but illegal, like the people in Calais, they will not be making a proper application, most if not all of them, have travelled to Calais from outside the EU.
We are now struggling on all services - NHS, Police, Education etc.
Instead, we should have a good points-based system and only allow people who can speak English, have a skill or trade, somewhere to live and work - whether from Europe or outside.

Amazing how Roger claims to want one thing but then votes for another.
What chance does the UK have to get back on its feet if people continue to vote along tribal party lines?
Answer: None.

David, you have not bothered to post on here about any subject lately so I hope you are not going back to Roger baiting again.

Surprising that the EU prescribes detailed continent-wide specifications for bananas but lets countries do their own thing on benefits. Shows what a huge joke the whole institution has become.

I always see their rulings/directives as a Pick n Mix, whereby different member states abide by what suits them.
