This link highlights something that the conservatives avoid at all costs, the fact that our national debt is at a record level and growing all the time.

As the debt grows the govt have put in to law that a fixed % every year, currently approx. £12bn a year, should be sent abroad as foreign aid.
The growth in foreign aid is in line with the growth in food banks in the UK.
