  The problem with a lot of schools in my view Roger is that the focus is on the academic pupils and the rest are forgotten.
  
  Not just a recent thing, when I was at school we went without a maths teacher for 3 years, lessons delivered by an assortment of teachers that were qualified in R.I, Music and Art.
  
  We had one teacher, forget the subject, that simply told us to write stuff out of a text book onto lined paper whilst he read his Ian Fleming novels.
