  Women are very often the best candidates but tend not to talk themselves up as much as men do.
  
  Women work more assiduously on the job and are less easily distracted than men.
  
  Women care more about the quality of their work.
  
  Women moan less about pay and conditions.
  
  Women follow instructions better and are less likely to take silly risks.
  
  In my career in the City I never, ever, had to send a woman home for coming back the worse for wear after lunch.
  
  Interesting though, that the last PM to preside over an all male cabinet was Maggie.
