Unfortunately there seems a rather tenuous link between working hard and having a decent standard of living nowadays as evidenced by people with jobs having to use food banks.

Benefits aren't all that good in reality .
They may get rent counsel tax and prescription free ,but the amount an individual gets to survive on isn't brilliant.
They probably have other income

Lance you are assuming they are being given the money, without knowing their individual circumstances it is wrong to make such a sweeping assumption, if you suspect criminality report them. Although they may have just had a lottery win, or have income from other sources.
I agree it's frustrating to see and we do give too much too easily to far too many. But that counts for British nationals as well, plenty have a leisurely life on the dole and never lift a finger!

Even if they are getting a lot on benefits from what Lance has said they must have spent more than their benefit money so for me the question is where is the extra money coming from.
According to Lance they are unemployed so this money might have been acquired illegally, theft and sub-letting immediately spring to mind so I will leave you to speculate on that.

Sub letting is quite big business locally, families A, B and C each have a dwelling paid for out of tax payers money.
Families B and C then move in with family A then rental income for all 3. You can tell whose house they have moved into by the amount of rubbish generated.
