Hi everybody,
On the occasion of the coming elections, I wrote an article about the legacy of the Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher and I would like to share it with you.
http://uk.blastingnews.com/politics/2015/04/margaret-thatcher-s-legacy-more-than-just-a-political-approach-00348611.html
I would love to have your comments on it.
Regards,

Thank You Diegop for that link.
It is true that she was a strong Leader - whether you liked her or not, she did bring the Country back to prosperity. The current Conservatives have been trying to do that too and are almost there, but the bit that hurts a lot of people, is that those on low income, who are worst off, will always suffer most.
Some are there because of circumstances beyond their control, some are there because they just have an idea that the State must provide for them and there are those, for whatever reason, didn't get a good education and qualifications and so couldn't move to get a well-paid good job.
There's no one answer to a Country's ills, but some of them are caused through political incompetance and fiscal irresponsibility
something I believe the Labour Party are guilty of (at Government and local level) and despite all their promises of "we have learned our lesson" on so many things, I really hope that the populace don't allow them to drag the Country down again.
People can only have the life they want and aspire to, when the Country is strong and financially secure; painful though it undoubtedly is for many, their life can only get better when the job is done.

After 5 years of austerity the national debt has doubled and the IMF predict that we will still have a deficit of 7 billion in 2020.
Only growth bringing tax revenues can dig us out of the hole.

I entered recently to another Forum and asked their opinion on the subject, I was almost crucified there. The views on her legacy are very much divided and polarized. Thanks for your comment

I think many thought the same as me Roger, when someone posts under a ridiculous sounding name it is best not to open any link because of a possible/probable virus.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

The true identity of the poster is Diego Alex Pragier, a Spanish-Israeli writer and translator, and probably therefore a member of the Ashkenazi Jewish community. For better of for worse, Israelis tend to like strong leaders.
