Just goes to show the conservative party has no intentions of giving the British people a democratic say on EU membership
If you want out vote UKIP

You`re correct Keith S. the vote did in fact show the lack of support for getting out of the EU by members of parliament, but that stance does not represent of course the wishes of the majority of the British public. But the career politicians have probably just ensured that UKIP pick up even more votes at the next election, as the government have shown once again that they hold the electorate in complete and utter contempt.

Not much of a list.
If UKIP are viewed as much the same as the big two parties then why are they attracting an ever increasing percentage of the vote and why should they not in consequence be entitled to the award of a peerage?
Who do you think, apart from yourself, has any interest in something as trivial as KCC allowances and why should UKIP not have the same entitlement as the old parties in decline have enjoyed?

ED
It's always nice when UKIP supporters come out of the woodwork to support there party, so now let's reply
UKIP went into the last election full of support(thus winning the 13 seats) at KCC and with a little more work could have won more which i applaud, but,,,,,, and a big but,,,,, they did it on the back of the 2 big parties being hated by all and the lib dems lost in there own little world.
Part of the election campaign UKIP said they would sort out the allowances(I thought great a real alternative)
so, watching the first opportunity they had to change the structure of the allowances, and reduce them, i watched the web cam
The UKIP leader not only didnt reduce the allowances, he wanted even higher allowances for UKIP!!
don't forget many will have voted UKIP because they made a promise to sort the allowances out.
THEY FAILED
On the Lords Farrage has not been a great fan of the place, yet here is wanting some of the same gravy train!!!
In reality UKIP are not trusted any more than the 2 bigger parties

Keith S. on " Mastermind " ( yes, I know it`s hard to imagine! )..............And your specialist subject is Mr Sansum.........erm, erm,,,," UKIP and KCC allowances "!
YAWN, YAWN, YAWN!!
Keith, if there was a thread on this forum regarding some old lady knitting socks for Eskimos, you would still manage to bring into the subject something about UKIP and the bloody KCC allowances. As I`ve said before, if this is the only disparaging thing that you can say about UKIP then we aren`t doing too bad are we?

Would the correct place for a reply if needed not be the East Kent Mercury letter pages?

Reg and Charlie both have principles and from time to time they will collaborate for the benefit of the district on issues where they both agree. That does not make them political allies.

Exactly Peter

but that sensible comment will not stop those who are determined to keep trying to point score for their own political party.
