there is a lot in what you say
a few years back the FA to please the premier league clubs('to give them even more) reduced the winnings in the earlier rounds of the FA Cup
for non league clubs like Dover the FA cup brings in much needed extra revenue
although not dependent on it for some small clubs it helps them to survive.
Rather than reducing the amounts paid at the lower levels, they should be increasing it and reducing the sums paid to premier clubs.
of course the FA is probably terrified the premier clubs will break away from the FA if they did so.
But grass roots football are the ones struggling for survival, the FA appear to have got it the wrong way round.
