  Going off at a slight tangent who would like to be a copper nowadays? Not enough of them to attend burgled homes then having to massage the crime figures to fit in with the required statistics and a working environment full of young imbeciles with knives or even guns.
  
  The gap between the top brass who collaborate with the politicians and the ordinary copper has never been greater. Today it was a Deputy Commissioner threatening to arrest people for damaging the shrine but I feel certain the ordinary Bill would have loved to have torn it all down.
