    I really don't see the problem. Unlike previous generations the 'yoof' have very little in the way of possessions - streaming TV/music to a tablet, eating out a lot, treating clothing as being almost disposable, hiring rather than owning.

    Why would they want lots of space to heat/clean/decorate/fill with 'stuff'?

    Let's go full Le Corbusier and design 'machines for living in', densely populated and surrounded by well designed public spaces.

    Let's have less Whitfield sprawl and more Kearsney Abbey?
