I know someone who has been told they cannot get a appointment until July 18 to see an ENT Dr. They have a mass coming out from left tonisl which could be a cyst or anything. As no biopsy it is not known for sure. Leaving them worrying to death and with half their throat cut off with this Lump. Choose and Book said the GP had not put urgent! Only three hospitals to choose from???? NHS say early diagnoses is key but they dont provide the 'early' part.
If only everyone could be kind and honest what a better world we would be in.

Anything judged non life threatening can mean a long wait to see a specialist. A few years back I was experiencing problems with my left hand and was referred to a consultant but had to have a series of tests beforehand. When I finally met the consultant only my forefinger and any movement left. Surgery was suggested but they wouldn't do it under local anaesthetic and then was told that I had a 90% chance of getting 20% more movement after having the op so I declined. If they had operated much earlier the condition was likely to be cured.

In the third line after forefinger and should read "thumb have".
