The issues over building regulations are not the main concern. The real iniquity is that the residents raised their concerns years before this revolting loss of life occurred but were ignored by the Kensington and Chelsea administration and their management organisation.

“We firmly believe that only a catastrophic event will expose the ineptitude and incompetence of our landlord, the KCTMO, and bring an end to the dangerous living conditions and neglect of health and safety legislation that they inflict upon their tenants and leaseholders.”

Written long before people paid with their lives.

And don't conflate it with Kings Cross. Two totally separate issues. You can go on ignoring the facts if it suits your idealogical disposition. Even the Moore-Bick enquiry (if it ever manages to come to a conclusion) will be hard pushed to conceal this repugnant episode.
