But I am a bit worried by the judge's claim that
'We have never lived in an Orwellian society.' Either he hasn't read Orwell, or he hasn't noticed the CCTV cameras, Facial Recognition Technology, biometrics, or any of the other proliferating 'security' and 'public protection' technologies that have invaded our day-to-day affairs.
Still, it's a small victory for civil liberties. 'Nice', as someone might say.
