[QUOTE="Pablo"]I bought my first digital camera (Sony) around 1997. It used a 3 1/2 inch floppy disk to record its images on. Seems primitive now but back then it seemed like magic.[/QUOTE

Your mention of floppy disks reminded me of the first desktop computer that I owned which used floppy disks for back up and data storage.

When it was time for a change I loaded all the disk data onto the hard drive and encased it for future use.

Here it is today and still holds many images from the past!

I believe it was originally 50 gigabytes but it has only 38.3 of useable gigabytes now.

Compared to today’s hard drives where storage capacity on many computers is measured in terabytes (1024gb), it is minuscule.
