Two pints of regular-strength lager or two small glasses of wine would put you over the limit. But this isn't a catch-all rule. Factors like your weight, sex, metabolism and how much you've eaten all contribute to how your body processes alcohol, so everyone has different limits.

We knew someone who loved his gin and tonic, he took a drink driving test on a voluntary basis at a London train station and passed even though he had had several G & Ts prior to his journey plus those consumed on the train. He was correct weight for his average height and aged about 50.
