  And now we come to the crux of the matter and what links all the various threads on this forum - party politics and political allegiance. Intelligent people can come to a consensus opinion that works for the majority if they considered the people they serve and not the political machine. It’s at both national and local level and isn’t helpful. Only when government puts people first will things improve, so I’m not holding my breath! I know it’s a naive view but I’m so disappointed and disillusioned. We no longer have statesmen with knowledge behind them because the country has become obsessed with electing youthful (career) politicians and fulfilling quotas relating to whatever is currently fashionable. We have fallen foul of the lobbyists promoting their causes and factions.
