Put simply, and depending upon your choice of god, and your choice of faction, there is a sabbath. This varies between the different gods (!), but for argument's sake we'll call it sunday. If you are non-religious, or worship a different god, Thor, Odin, the crowd on Olympus etc. (ad nauseum) then you probably don't care that the shops are open (unless you're German), and if you do hold the sabbath to be on a sunday, and as the lord's day, then keep to the sabbath and go to church, don't go shopping.
By the way, this is not a personal attack on any individual either on this forum or otherwise, this is me commenting on how people should not cherry pick their religious doctrines to suit themselves.
