  This year was my first attendance at the ceremony and I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I found the ceremony at St James most moving and stirring at the same time, the band from Belgium was superb! The ringing of the bell in the town was also excellent and my only regret is that more people in Dover don't know what it is and attend properly rather than just coincidentally being in that part of town at the time. I shall certainly try and make attendance a habit in the future.
