  What amazes me is the lack of co ordination on some of these projects.
  
  Maybe best explained by way of example.
  
  
  I run a club in town and pier, instead of the KCC outreach workers working with our club, they decide to do there own thing, many times we have had to pick up the pieces when they have gone.
  
  
  We used to use the recreation ground, played many league games on this ground, one saturday morning at training we entered the gate to find the youth van had been there the day before, and gone onto the ground and ripped up part of the ground.
  
  We could have given better advice as to where to park the van, saving us doing the repairs after they gone.
  
  Of course we no longer use the ground due to the short sightedness of the planning dept.
  
  once when down the sports centre helping to run the 5 a side league(with over 25 teams in the leagues) we took over 200 kids off the streets every friday.
  
  this was recognised by the police,
  
  Of course govts of all colours would rather do everything for nothing, but in reality both charities/volunteers are already at breaking point, and we could see even more volunteers leaving that sector through frustration and over work
