    You get what you pay for ChrisK. My iMac cost £1000 and is by no means Apple's top spec machine, but it still out-performs eve the most high-spec PC I have ever owned. As for those programs not working under the new OS, yes there are a few but it is a minimal problem easily fixed by either installing Rosetta or getting the software developer's updates. It's a tiny price to pay for progress
