Budgets are strange things,you are looking at things that might happen up to15 months,and of course things happen to change these things so you build into them a little surplus to cover over running costs,inflation and unforseen problems,but you can nearly always bet that it will be more than you budgeted for.
This is where our side had a problem,because we were told that it was a balanced budget,yet when you look at your important information about your Council Tax 2008/9 on the pinky page the Less forcast deficit,£49,000 is in fact spending over the budget,again on Income and Expenditure near the bottom 49 is in fact the same amount,so how can it be a balanced budget when it is already in £49,000.00 in deficit?
Also an intresting fig is the Council need £16 MILLION BUT ONLY £5.881 comes from Council Tax,the other £10.113 million comes from Goverment Grant
