My dear old chap ...you have the Philippines mixed up with Thailand, China and other non-Christian asian countries where dogs are bred in captivity and harvested for the dining table.
My wifes mother breeds pigs and in comparison to the appalling conditions that pigs suffer in this country theirs by contrast are fully organic free to roam and only fed food scraps. They are not pumped full of steriod loaded pellets. The pigs are an important(and wealthy part) of the family and are therefore treated with respect.
When it comes time for their slaughter the older generation gather to pay their respects to the pig before it meets its maker. On a final point not one part of the pig is wasted not even the ears, trotters etc.
I know all this as a fact as one pig was slaughtered in my honour when I visited the Phils for Christmas a couple of years ago.
All the cheap chicken you buy from Iceland stores originates from Thailand which has appalling records and continous outbreaks of bird flu (flew).lol I never buy from Iceland.
