SO. Follow the money?
Who owns Betteshanger and who sold it to him (at what price and after what public investment) and why?
Meanwhile, having demolishes the industrial heritage which was worth saving (winding gear etc) you and I are paying for a 'museum' which consists of a couple of jars of sputum and a miners lamp.
Apparently its all to do with the climate innit - but when I asked at Council about ground sourced heat pumps they said this would involve drilling (!) and wouldn't be worthwhile.
Post that, not having done proper soil analysis. (Triaxial tests etc. Yup, used to study Civ Eng) the entire floor broke up and needed huge errrr drilling - but without the heat pumps.
Not to worry. YOUR pockets are bottomless. Innit, There care three laws of Thermodynamics and they are not negotiable.
