How an earth did they manage to make the building look bigger? Nice to see healthy competition arriving! :-)

Just a shame ASDA couldn't have kept to their orginial plan - Burlington House may have been on its way down by now! I'll also be the first to predict that the car park is going to be an absolute nightmare once ASDA open. It's bad enough now.

Asda and Morrisons should get together and charge for parking but you get your money back when you shop with them. A high number of the spaces at the Crafford street end are those just in the town, very few use the Charlton Centre because you have to pay.
As a pedestrian who has to cross Maison Dieu at the bottom of Albert Road from Crafford Street I dread Asda opening the road is difficult enough now.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I suspect that they did keep to their original plan - prevent the competition from getting a prime town centre site whilst doing the deal with Netto....

I have to agree with Ross there. It is interesting that they have just got planning permission for a side extension to that store but have chosen to open without building it.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.
