Bringing it back to topic gentlemen...
this event was organised really well by a young team, and they did auditions across the County and the young girl that won had never sung on the stage in public by herself before.. and honestly.. she made the hairs on my arms go.. absolutely fantastic, unfortunately her name is not springing to mind, but she was just fab.. got a standing ovation pretty much :)
It was really nice to see young people from all over Kent coming together to show case what they could do, we had clarinet players, singers, dancers, rap artists ( they did their own lyrics) a couple of bands, one of them did a mumford and sons cover.. and it was a great opener.. loved them :) and i am sure i missed some talent as well..
It wasnt about having big stars, it was about the Youth and their talents. All the proceeds are being ploughed back into youth services, the top 3 acts are now able to have lessons of some kind and then invoice Youth Services to a certain amount.
Lots of small businesses were involved, and the Town Hall as always were fab even after a long weekend.
