    It's not a UKIP statement, Paul, and though I don't know who the financial expert is who Vic has spoken to, I do know that bankruptcy would be very probable if Port privatisation went ahead, on the basis of figures that have been presented and through local press coverage over the year concerning the ferry operators at Dover. DHB know full well that no private owner could cover all the finanical burdens of ESOT, PDCT, T2, and the expenses to maintain Eastern Docks (see front page figure given by DHB), without drastically increasing the port-dues, which woud end in diverting much trafic to the Channel Tunnel, which has a capacity that could absorb all Dover Port's traffic!
