  My goodness Paul you are beginning to sound like every ones favourite tory Barry W with your "You have to speculate to accumulate".
  It would appear that you have completely missed my point. If we are being forced against our will to make such devastating cuts in our standard of living for the common good, then how can such speculation on such a vast scale be justified??
  People who rely on the government for sustenance are being told you will have to make do with less.
  How can one say to those people you cant have help and at the same time find all these millions for what is after all just a game. Football does not produce wealth for the nation, as a whole it provides wealth for individuals. as witnessed the fortunes of Beckham and Rooney and the likes. It has to be the only business that I am aware of that thinks it is fine to have there accounts in the red year after year, still I must not drift from my original point. "Nobody asked me if I wanted the world cup" despite the taxes I pay.
