Today we witnesses our boy in blue (David Cameron)on another money saving?? soiree to Switzerland to bid for the world cup to come to Britain in 2018.
Well I trust you will forgive me if I seem a bit naive. I was under the impression that we as a country are on our uppers. I.E. Skint, Broke, near bankrupt , call it what you like.
There seems to be a trend that for the life of me leaves me completely baffled. On the one hand we are being asked to make some huge sacrifices, and in a lot of cases give up the security of a job For what???
Students will have fees imposed on them as the country cannot afford to pay for them any more.
We are just about to bail Ireland out (Sorry Paul), we are in the firing line to bail Portugal out in the near future, we are paying billions for the 2012 Olympics and today as I say blue David has found another deserving cause that needs our money more than we do
Now I may not be as bright as some on this forum for which I make no apology but even I can work out that of a nation of 60 million approximately 1 million go to football matches every week leaving a grand total of 59 million who don't (trust my maths are right

)
then the question has to be asked Who represent us the majority of the population who cant see why our money should be used in this way to make a few very rich people even richer ???
If it is such a big deal, and god knows I certainly do not thinks so why cant all the people who have made their millions from the so called beautiful game ?? and there is a misnomer if ever there was put their money up front if they want it so badly.
Do not for goodness sake treat the public as the sports world's private piggy bank. If the want it then let them pay for itbecause I can think of a better use for our money, take note students!!!
