    It is true David that I am a member of the Planning Committee and I have voted for every major (potential) planning application, so I have not held anything up. Sometimes people have to see the bigger picture or we won't/don't go anywhere but stagnate; I must be honest that some people do get bogged down in minutia and sometimes the devil is in the detail.

    Section 215's are now being worked on and letters issued - so progress is being made there.

    The Western Docks/T2, Landbridge and Cable Car are all in the hands of the Gods (or should I say the "Decisions Minsister) and none are dependant on DDC.

    As Paul (Scotchie) has said, bore holes and work has already started on the Hotel, so DTIZ is (albeit slowly) now moving ahead.

    Western Heights/Farthingloe - we''ll see a new plan quite soon; no blame can be put on DDC

    Connaught Barracks I believe is with a Government department to decide its future, but is (again, slowly) moving forward.

    DDC cannot/should not, give developers carte blanche to do as they wish, but an intelligent/pragmatic approach must be the order of the day; we want inward investment, but also it has to be the right sort, the sort that is good for Dover.
