    I would not be as polite as you Reg most of the adjectives I came up with to describe the man are unprintable. Agree with your volunteering comment, it is a shame the majority of younger unemployed have to be 'forced' to do the same.

    Lord Bichard, yet another ex top civil servant now politician who does not live in the real world but opens his big trap to spout nonsense. I hope he is actively looking after a "very old" person as a carer but I very much doubt it.

    I noticed he retired 11 years ago when he must have been 54, does not really fit in with the work until you die ethos does it. Maybe he is one of the lucky retired people who is still fit and healthy unlike so many of us with our various age or illness related disabilities.
