Agree.
The last government and this government will never sort out this problem by the methods they have both adopted, the latter via bunging £millions into a French firm. I am talking about disabled now, sorry.
The last Gov employed Doctors at great expense to go round to all who claimed disability. They were instructed to evaluate the claimant WITHOUT any medical records.
The real disabled people, like my wife, will always strive to be as much like an abled body person as they can and when they are having a good day and some strange doctor asks them to do something like bend, they will do their best to bend, regardless of pain or regardless of consequences of continued pain long after the doctor has left. Hence many true disabled people had their benefits removed, until they appealed and with medical evidence eventually had their benefits re- installed.
The fakes know exactly what to do (or not do) and never get their benefits taken from them.
This gov is doing much the same, it is easy to knock a few 1000, real disabled, off the books and make it look like they are winning the war.
If my wife is subjected to the same, hostile appointment as last time, when the doctor, because he did not have her medical records and because he did not believe she could not lift her own legs up, he sent me to the bathroom to get him a towel and proceeded to lift my wife's leg so high, she screamed in pain and was bedridden for three weeks after, If that happens again, I will try to have the doctor arrested for assault.
I threw him out and she lost her disability benefits for nearly a year.
I would also point out that sometimes it is very difficult to assess that someone is disabled, on good days, my wife can walk and if she feels ok, she sometimes has a couple of vodkas and has a dance, just like in her youth and I can see that some people think, if she can do that, she must be putting it on. What people don't see, is the next few days or sometimes weeks, that she spends recovering, from trying to be normal. It very much annoys me when someone gets out of a disabled car and walks off, with people saying "there's nothing wrong with them". If you do not know them, you should not jump to conclusions.
