Something afoot in Pencester Gardens.
The benches have all gone but that may be just a Dover thing.

Maybe they,ve just been taken away for a makeover/paintup.The weather gets too unpredictable this time of the year to do them outside.

Fair point about the benches Andy but why is the bandstand in a "tree protection zone"?

Looks in the pic like theres some work maybe being done on the bandstand. These days just a simple (wet paint) sign being chalked on the ground or similiar probably just would,nt be enough.Too much of the ol claims direct going on.Every precaution has to be taken.

The bandstand was getting a thorough jet wash when I went past earlier and the heritage paving stones were cordoned off so must assume they are next.

A side benefit of the demolition as that we can see what the residents of Dolphin Passage are up to.

At least it shows off that they are quite good looking buildings. Is this site going to be another car park?

Mean while back in Pencester Gardens work is going on in the gardens where last year's storms wreaked havoc.
The bandstand/pavilion is coming on well now.

The old cinema site would make an excellent petanque pitch.
