I can't change the national scene although can shout about it.
What I have done purely as a volunterer is carried out my committment to run a youth footy team based in Town and pier.
Not only that but a monthly fun bingo nioght in the heart of Aycliffe(deliberatly in Aycliffe)
We could have done it anywhere, but chose Aycliffe and have stuck in there and provided.
We will continue to do so
I like to shout but at the same time im active (not in the ward i live either) because i know its enjoyed and appreciated.
I recall the recreation officer telling me that they are stretched and I was realy doing the job of the council, because they dont have the man(woman)power
But im happy doing it as a volunteer, what annoys me is people from that same area moaning and groaning yet never say, he can i help !!!!!!
