  every country seems to carrying a budget deficit but all have different methods of taxing people.
  
  dave and george stripe up the middle classes with the child benefit removal and the rest of us with the rise in vat and fuel duty.
  
  romania is using a different method.
  
  self employed have to pay 16% of income, now the government has listed witches, astrologers and fortune tellers in this category.
  
  superstition is rife there, even government ministers wear certain colours on days that fit with these beliefs.
  
  the witches have taken umbrage and have stirred up a mixture of cats excreta and the carcasses of dead dogs and put a curse on the government.
  
  
  the thing that confuses me is that if they are so clever, how come it did not show up in their crystal ball?

  As well as the Jews, it`s often forgotten that other races went to the extermination camps in the last war, including all gypsies. I never heard though of any SS or German troops being turned into toads!

  In the days of Chauchesku, the government in Bucarest made a point of Romania being a self-reliant country. Whatever they borrowed on money from other states, they paid back to the last penny, plus any interest.
  
  Romania had a complete different attitude to the Titoist Yugoslavia, which borrowed money from the West and made a point of not paying it back.
  
  I hope the government in Romania succeeds in overthrowing any spells from witches and makes sure that they pay their tax: to the last Lei! If the witches in Romania don't pay their taxes, then they might like to have a spell in prison! In a Transilvanian prison

  in the time of the ceausesu era romania was totally dependent on china, due to them wanting to be independent of the soviet union who saw them as the bread basket of eastern europe.

  But that doesn't explain why Causescu suddenly became Dracula overnight! Hitherto he had been liked in the West, because he didn't take part in military exercises with the Warsaw Pact.
