now the foliage is disappearing it becomes easier to see some birds, the pics here are superb and maybe one of our members will see some for real.

I know winter has arrived when I see the lovely little wagtail on my way to work and I saw it the other day in Albert Road.

I only see the wagtails in this area in the winter. It all depends on the part of the country you are in, I doubt if we will see any of the waders in the middle of Dover.

Beautiful birds, but I would have thought unlikely to be seen in Dover - but who knows ?
I clicked on to the fruit and veg to grow in the winter and got some good ideas - thanks Howard.

No the Pied Wagtail, I have seen a couple around this part of town since I moved back to Dover nearly eight years ago.

Several times I have seen pied wagtail in the carpark at Co-op in Sandwich (near the river), they do like 'wet' places.
