Winter ales festival

great turnout as we can see, great stuff from the organisers.
- 8 February 2014 08:13260313I called in there last night for about an hour and a half and had two halfs (honest, just the two). One I had sponsored, a lovely stout; Lamplight Porter it's called.
Had a chat with a few people which was good and the atmosphere was very happy and enjoyable.
The glasses have a great design - with a red poppy and 100 year anniversary - 1914 - 2014. CAMRA always make a good donation to a charity afterwards and because it is a 100 years since the start of WW1, their donation will be to the Royal British Legion.
A good reason to pop down for a drink or two, but remember "Don't Drink and Drive"
