  strange thread title but an even stranger sight i encountered this morning.
  
  coming past st mary's this morning i espied nestling amongst the remaining geraniums what appeared to be a top of the range syrup.
  
  surely on windy days such as today the former wearer would have applied some superglue to his bonce to avoid any potential embarrassments?

  Was it by any chance quite long, grey and white and a made in Ireland label on the inside?

  Perhaps it was a chest wig? Did those things really exist?
  
  I've always thought wigs look worse that bald heads, I really don't know why people bother...
  
  I suppose it's only a short matter of time before someone misreads it as 'Whig' and turns the thread political. Oh dear, that appears to be me.
