  Looking at a lot of the posts over the months some of the threads have created good and bad points about Dover, for and against and arguments about what and will not happen.
  
  Don't you all realise we aint going anywere.
  
  DTIZ, Burlington House, River Dour, Closed shops, The paper Mill, Hospital, and on and on and on.
  All the things we care about isn't going to happen.
  
  All the things we don't want, extra housing, another ferry terminal and on and on and on.
  Aint going to happen.
  
  Why get in a flap, We'll all be pushing up the daisies before anything happens.
  Chill out and enjoy life.
  grass grows by the inches but dies by the feet.

  One of my favourite phrases, and I quote it on Facebook no less, is: Life's Too Short. Another is Everything Matters but Nothing Matters Frightfully. These two stock phrases keep me (relatively) sane.

  Don't be so downhearted Ian. I disagree, it is a battle but much if not all that you have listed will get done. We have a dreadful economic situation now nationally and locally which can only make it more problematical but we must not give up hope.
  
  Even the DTIZ has come a long way with the 'de-risking' of the site so far, though there remains a long way to go after the withdrawal of Asda and it remains commercially difficult.

  Everyone I know bleats on about Dover. We live here - we have to, it's our job. And whilst bleating may not get us anywhere, not bleating will not help either.
