No change for the better when Labour are in power must surely be the mantra! It seems all parties are as bad as each other, no wonder voters are declining to put their little X anywhere at election times.

Starmer was on Breakfast this morning waffling away with the usual promises and political drivel, another reason I started this thread. His advisers need a kick up the butt.
Our rising up the ranks career MP is unlikely to be re-elected because of his absence in his constituency and silence on important local issues.

I think i,d rather listen to Lorraine Kelly waffling on than him.Its so annoying when they interview politicians, they wave their arms about using phrases like "this is what we inherited from the last government"they all say that and so annoying when they constantly swerve questions n never give straight answers.

Couple of weeks ago on BBC Breakfast I saw a politician who looked vaguely familiar.
Then his caption came up - Mike Tapp - Immigration Minister

Mike Tapp who said “Firstly, we’re going to smash the gangs. We’re bringing in the likes of MI5 with those extra powers and tools” in a Telegraph interview in August 2024?
It was headed ' Labour MP tells Kamala Harris not to ignore voters’ worries about immigration
Mike Tapp tells the presidential nominee’s campaign team they must listen to what hard-working people want'.
I wonder how that went?

Same for me this morning on BBC Breakfast but at least he looks like he not been over indulging with the subsidised food and drinks. BTW he waffled away about one in one out quite happily.

Probably by stopping the lucrative boat scheme by supplying high speed safe boats for free trips straight from France instead of only halfway across the channel. That will smash the gangs.!!

I believe there will be no significant change in the numbers until the French stop the seemingly invisible, at least to the French authorities, boats leaving their beaches and waters.
