I wonder what motorists make of these signs while making for the docks from Coombe Valley Road?
Wow - left or right, tough choice.

When we were in County Cork on our honeymoon many years ago we decided to go and hire a boat from Ballydehob, a little fishing village on Roaringwater Bay. On the way we came to a T-junction with an old fashioned finger signpost. Left said Ballydehob 3, right said Ballydehob 6.

reminds me of the old joke when a very tall american tourist enquired of an irish farmer how far it was to the next town.
the reply came back "about 2 miles but with legs like yours only one".

Or when asked for directions saying "If I were you I wouldn't start from here"

whilst we are on the bad jokes one of my favourites of old was when an american tourist in the west of ireland commented that it took him a day to drive around his ranch in texas.
the reply came back " i had a car like that once and got rid of it".

On the same holiday we stopped to ask directions to somewhere or other and were advised to turn right a mile before the church!
