    Don't get upset Andrew - that's Howard's acerbic wit - can be cutting at times, but he's not into oneupmanship.

    I think your point about people losing the will to protest because they feel there's no point is a valid one, but the Whitfield expansion has gone through all the due process and most if not all of the residents'concerns have been considered, addressed and included.
    It is a 25 to 30 years program and a decision is being made soon about the section 106 developer contributions. I didn't realise that their profit margin is (relatively) small - 10 to 15%, while I'm sure everyone thinks that develpers make much higher margins.
