Keith, I was not referring to a local government election - there was another poll, purely for Whitfield residents which overwhelmingly rejected the Option for most houses there.
The results have been completely ignored. I suspect a for of people in Whitfield have lost the stomach for a fight, in which case I say - grow a backbone! People in this country have become so timid and compliant it is terrifying. all vying for places in the New Order no doubt.
And linking this thread to the immigration issue, there will probably be another four million or so increase in population in the next decade, and so on, and on on.
England is ALREADY the most densely settled part of Western Europe. Some may try to continue to ignore the elephant in the room, but when they start to suffer inferior health care, increased housing costs, poorer services, increased competition for jobs, and see their favourite places concreted over, they might change their minds.
