Off-peak and Overnight Resurfacing Closures - A256 Whitfield Hill, Dover - from 9 October 2012
A256 WHITFIELD HILL, DOVER will be closed in phases for its entire length, as detailed below.
Tuesday 9th - Friday 12th October - between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm
Monday 15th - Friday 19th October - between 8.00 pm through until 5.00 am
Monday 22nd October - between 8.00 pm through until 5.00 am
The alternative routes are:
Westbound via A2 Whitfield Roundabout, A2 Trunk Road, Jubilee Way, A20 Townwall Street, York Street, A256 High Street, London Road, Crabble Hill and London Road.
From River via London Road, Crabble Hill, A256 Buckland Avenue, Barton Road, Frith Road, Maison Dieu Road, Woolcomber Street, A20 Townwall Street, A2 Jubilee Way and Whitfield Roundabout.
The closures are part of a programme of carriageway resurfacing works being carried out by Kent County Council,and have previously been notified under a Kent-wide Bulletin.
Please note that the dates have been amended since the bulletin was issued.
The works are weather dependent, and adverse conditions may delay progress or prevent them going ahead on the planned date.
If they need to be postponed, revised dates will be advised locally and signposted on site.

Water works going on as you come into River from Dover today,best go the long way round.
