This seems to be outside the area previously scheduled for development. Presumably they're hoping for planning permission. As far as the rapid bus route goes, that hasn't come anywhere near being settled yet.

You are correct Keith. The previous proposal for the site was identified as a full blown Retirement village. A Dutch company .Unfortunately developer ran out of funds . Certainly fitted in with proposed bus route eventually linking up with anticipated main Connaught Barracks development .

I know the White Cliffs Business Park has been planned for years, but it won't be long before it creeps into Coombe Hole and there won't be any green space left on this side of Dover until you get up to the A2.
I'm sure somebody somewhere will have thought the A2 would be a great border and every spare piece of land south of it can be filled in with commercial / residential properties.

I wonder how the conservative leader of DDC
Together with conservative county councillors representing the area will square these up.
The villages are up in arms
These people usually vote conservative
Most now say they won't !

This has been in the planning for some considerable time. Not recent.

And following the 5000 homes, the next area to be built on (extending to approximately 433.6 acres) will be?
