The monstrous regiment or the sacred feminine? Odd, we only re-watched The Da Vinci Code the other evening.

And I re-watched Conclave! Strange ending? Just saying.

No.1 granddaughter arrived this morning (the first girl in the family in 65 years) and it makes me wonder what the future holds for her: high priestess, queen consort, PM, astronaut, rugby/football/cricket international, music megastar - the list goes on. I suppose the correct answer is: anything, really (though inevitably a Thomas The Tank fanatic).
Providing I can give her back!

Thankyou, that means a lot! Her arrival, and potential, has hit me somewhat - in a good way. I think one can have too much of Channel 4 News; we've been averaging about 5 minutes before the subject matter, and sometimes the choice of it, causes us to stick our fingers in our ears and dig out last week's recorded Bake Off.

Button,
I will also add my congratulation.
I found girls were a bigger worry than boys, but when they have their children they realise why their mother sometimes nagged and worried about them.

Congratulations to you all Button, but Thomas the tank engine for a girl? Maybe a review of your toy and interest options for a girl is likely to change as she grows. thumbsup:

Bob, many thanks for the congratulations but the suggestion that we ought to go into gender stereotyping? Well, I was truly shocked and appalled!!
Besides, My Little Pony is soooooo boring!
