  Nowadays the pubcos and brewers have far more control. They can see what you are selling via your electronic tills; they know what you are buying as you order it all through them; and they have beer line monitors in your cellar which send real-time information back on how much is being pumped. Any discrepancies and they are down on you like a ton of bricks. Every which way they have you by the short and curlies, that is why we would never consider a tied arrangement. God knows it's tough enough as a free house, I don't know how the tied tenants manage.
